Responsibilities:
The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist will work Full Time, Days and will be a key resource for the Human Resources department; responsible for maintaining the data integrity of all HR Information Systems (HRIS) and software applications, compile accurate and timely reports, develop metrics, and identify trends.
Responsible for providing support and project implementation services for human resources applications.
Works with internal Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams to define system specifications/requirements, design, develop, program, and test features and functionality within various HR modules/applications.
Primary ownership (serving as Subject Matter Expert) of medium-to-high complexity modules/applications.
Requires solid understanding of HR business process, workflow, and system architecture.
Partners with IT to address system break-fixes and routine patch/upgrade rollouts.
Occasional travel from time to time but not on a regular basis.
The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist continuously audits the HR and Payroll databases for data quality and integrity by running queries and analyzing data.
Conducts monthly data audit for billing processing.
The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist runs Primary Source Verification reports monthly, monitors and sends reminders to renew certifications biweekly.
Prepares the Occupational Employment Statics reporting for the Department of Labor.
Serve as a liaison between HR and IT to troubleshoot system issues.
Communicates any changes in the HRIS systems with all HR staff members and is available to answer any related questions.
The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist develops standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
Responds to basic to intermediate ad hoc data requests from other departments or requesting agencies.
Reports data errors to the Director, HR Operations, specifically, data that is being used for reporting purposes.
The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist produces monthly and quarterly scorecards.
Conducts data analysis on HR data such as turnover, classification, employment, employee relations, and/or benefits data as requested.
The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist provides support and project implementation services for human resources applications.
Project implementation responsibilities include collaborating with internal partners to analyze, program, test, document and implement medium-to-high complexity.
Participates in project groups and task forces related to the utilization of existing capabilities, upgrades and other topics, as assigned.
Coordinates, schedules and tracks progress of specialized work projects as assigned.
Process employee data transactions in the core HRIS system, ensures accuracy, completeness and timely entry in accordance with the service level agreement.
Will manage the HRIS and HR Operations inbox.
Reviews and approves security access to HR systems.
Sets priorities/plans and manage a diverse set of tasks with minimal guidance.
Updates the Organizational charts and distribution lists as needed.
Performs other duties within scope of practice as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in HR management, IT or Business Administration preferred.
High School diploma or GED required.
Experience:
1 years HR Systems experience required.
1 year Analytical and data integrity management required.
3 years MS Excel experience required.
Preferred knowledge in UKG (Kronos) HR and timekeeping and Project Management experience.
Licensure/Certificates:
N/A Skills:
Strong understanding of HRMS database design, structure, functions and processes.
Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of current rules, regulations, laws, principles and practices related to HR.
Knowledge of basic auditing and monitoring techniques required to ensure programmatic compliance.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Highly organized, responvice and self-motivated.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of any and all information.
Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.
HR business process knowledge and systems expertise, in order to effectively outline recommendations/options and implement enhancements.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work - Exterting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Sedentary work involves sitting most fo the time.
