Manager of Network Services

Job Title:
Manager of Network Services Our client, a large healthcare network headquartered out of Cooperstown, New York is seeking a Manager of Network Services.
In this role you will be leading both the telecommunications and network engineering team.
The team is comprised of approximately 15 people.
Job Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all enterprise-wide telecommunications, audio/visual conferencing, and computer networking related activities.
Managerial duties include:
Manage and oversee network, audio/visual, and telecommunications staff; provide support of complex/specialized programs and environments; assist staff in determining the nature and extent of technical problems; interview and orient new employees; perform evaluations and counseling sessions as required; manage departmental hardware and software resources; evaluate existing systems and equipment, providing recommendations to improve efficiencies and overall network infrastructure; manage work order requirements and prioritizes problems; effectively coordinate the activities of network services staff; manage and oversee medium and large IT projects utilizing project management practices; and support and implement departmental and organizational initiatives.
Education/Qualifications:
oAssociates Degree in Business Administration, Management or computer related discipline is required.
oBachelors Degree in Business Administration, Management or computer related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
o5 years experience in the field of information technology or telecommunications is required.
o5 years experience supervising or managing network operations is preferred.
o3 years experience working in the healthcare industry preferred.
oExperience leading technical teams and executing tactical plans.
oExposure to business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
o3 years of project management experience with technology infrastructure and business systems solutions preferred.
oExperience in planning, organization, and development.
Licensure/Certificates:
oComputer networking certification preferred (CCNA or Network+).
Skills:
oExcellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, networks, Audi/Video equipment.
oSolid understanding of network systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
oSuperior understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
oDemonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.
oProven leadership ability.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
