The Operative Services Manager will direct daily operations, and in conjunction with the Medical Director of the OR; Manager, Anesthesia/PAT; and Manager, PACU/ASU/OPCU under the direction of the Senior Director of Operative Services and the CNO, Vice President Clinical Support Services; coordinate program development, new surgeon Operative integration, comprehensive operative plan development in accordance with New York State and federal regulations as well as hospital policies and procedures established standards for Operative practice and regulatory and accreditation requirements., enforce compliance standards and develop systems to maximize patient access and provider efficiency in the OR. The Operative Services Manager will be responsible for departmental performance improvement, staff selection and supervision, managing the daily OR room assignments to include urgent and emergent add on cases to the schedule, staff competency, and skill development activities. The Operative Services Manager will participate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement and facilitate systems and programs in the delivery of patient care
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Qualifications:
Graduation of Baccalaureate Professional Nursing Program.
Experience:
8 years of operating room experience required
5 years experience in a supervisory role required ? with experience in a leadership role within the OR required.
Licensure/Certificates :
Current NYS licensure and registration as a Registered Professional Nurse
Current BLS certification is required
Current CNOR Certification
Skills:
Demonstrated experience related to operating room management of all surgical specialties
Have exemplary interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with those from diverse backgrounds, as well as those in senior leadership levels in the organization.
Ability to define problems identifies complex variables in situations with limited standardization processes, and work towards solutions.
Ability to work within common computer systems and programs
Ability to assess, problem solve, and make decisions based on the data available
Ability to implement change
Ability to work as a leader and as part of a team
Ability to influence and develop collaborative relationships, building cooperation in the pursuit and achievement of organizational goals
Ability to effectively work with individuals internal and external to the organization.
Ability to organize often changing work priorities and meet specific objectives under time constraints.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires extensive mobility with regular sitting and walking.
Ability to do lifting, potential for heavy lifting.
Category I risk exposure as defined by OSHA
General office environment with significant computer time required
Ability and willingness to respond to 24 x 7 environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
