Summary:
The Registered Professional Nurse Ambulatory Care is accountable for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process. The RN assesses, plans, delivers, coordinates, integrates, and evaluates nursing care related to patient needs. The RN contributes to the support of patients through interdisciplinary teamwork.
Education/Qualifications:
G raduation from an accredited Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma Professional Nursing program is required.
Licensure/Certificates:
Current NYS license as an RN required
BLS certification required
Experience:
At least 1 year experience as an RN
Competencies and skills:
Nonessential:
Ability to work within common computer systems and programs
Capable of using effective oral and written communication
Ability to function in a leadership capacity
Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment
Demonstrates competency in required nursing skills
Ability to assess patient status and take appropriate action
Ability to precept and mentor other staff members
Working conditions:
Essential:
Lifting, wheeling, transporting, or positioning patients

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
