The Groundskeeper I is capable of performing a variety of landscape maintenance practices involving spring and fall cleanup, turf grass maintenance, pruning, snow removal, plant care, equipment maintenance and maintenance of exterior fixtures throughout the campus. Is available for weekend and early morning snow removal responsibilities and is responsible for a weekend rotation during the spring summer and fall for watering plants and entranceway cleanup.

Minimum Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent


  • Landscape maintenance and mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and use preferred


  • Valid driver?s license


  • Possess the ability to evaluate specific landscape needs for the aesthetics and safety
  • Capable of efficiently and safely operating landscape equipment with the ability to maintain said equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift heavy materials of 50 lbs. and lift objects of greater weight with the assistance of additional employees.
  • Year round out door work in all weather conditions.
  • Repeated availability for early mornings and weekend requirements for snow removal responsibilities.

Working conditions:
Work may be scheduled for early morning/outside business hrs

Work requires on-call availability
Position requires ability to lift up to 50 LB
Work in all types of weather conditions and terrain

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
