Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Accounts Receivable Processor and the Supervisor, the A/R processor is responsible for the timely, and accurate processing of all payment, daily cash ups (Campus and Regional) transfer and adjustment transactions relating to patient accounts for MIBH and O'Connor. The primary goal of this position is to ensure accurate updating of accounts receivable balances in multiple software systems while ensuring that all the payment, transfer, and adjustment transactions have been properly accounted for. The third party Payor or contract rules and documents vary greatly requiring application of varied skills and knowledge.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Qualifications:

  • High School graduate.

Experience:??????

????????? Generals accounting, keyboard for data entry and MS office/ Excel, strengths a must.

????????? Accounting experience preferred.

Licensure/Certificates:??

None required.

Skills:??

  • Good organizational skills for accuracy and speed are necessary for use with an adding machine and for data entry into a personal computer
  • Requires knowledge of accounting as normally acquired through completion of an Associates Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Requires a basic knowledge of standard use of PC windows applications
  • Strong telephone skills required
  • Must be flexible to changing work conditions; including daily duties and month end hours

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
